Either Sick or Awake

Sick girlfriend

The girlfriend and I’re sick. That’s her camouflaged as a sofa.

At least, think I’m sick. When you’re an insomniac, it’s hard to tell if you’re sick or just hella tired. The change in the weather’s not helping.

Just came back from dinner with WM; took him out to eat for picking up my bro in the middle of the night last week.

Use the word dinner, loosely. Cause it consisted of a pitcher of beer and four dozen Buffalo wings. Think my heart stopped twice.

Speaking of food, decided to make a variant of Jim Lahey’s No-Knead Bread. Depending on how it goes, tell y’about it later.

Hold on…heart stopped again.

YASYCTAI: If you don’t bake, try one of the no-knead recipes. Just need materials and patience. (1080 mins/1 pt)

hmmmmm i think the remedy for being sick isn't wings and beer. cook up a chicken soup. i dunno why but chicken soup is some kinda miracle cure. boil chopped garlic, onions, carrots, celery, a chicken, and spices (thyme, oregano, marjoram, rosemary… whatever u got) in a pot of water. skim off the chicken scuzz on top of the water and after the chicken's done, take it out and tear it into pieces. add it back to the soup with salt and lots o' pepper. eat this every day until u feel better. i started feeling sick last week but attacked it with this soup, tea, and ricola. being sick is the worst feeling.

Ohh!! I bought the stuff to make that no knead bread too!! Definitely let me know how it turns out. Do you know if an enamelled dutch oven instead of a cast iron one would work???I am just in the middle of curing some bacon…I have no idea if it'll turn out – but I'm trying and if all goes well I was going to make some bread with it.

Suz – wings and beer are not recommended but tolerated. I make chicken soup all the time and don't even bother tearing up the pieces.Alana – it was super easy, you should totally do it. My problem was my pizza stone (I made pizza) but I think for bread, a dutch oven would be perfect.YM- yes, ma'am!
